Success Stories

Kids thrive at home. That is the philosophy of Pediatric Home Service, an independent children's home health care agency.

Technological advances have made it possible for medically complex children to live at home, rather than in a hospital. But to be successful it requires a comprehensive approach and integrated services. That’s when Pediatric Home Service (PHS) steps in.

PHS provides comprehensive, high-tech medical care that includes respiratory therapy, infusion nursing and pharmacy, home care nursing, mental health, clinical support services and other services to pediatric patients. Although the care that is provided requires highly skilled and highly trained nursing staff, it is much less costly than having a child stay in a hospital or a nursing care facility.

PHS was established in 1990 and moved to Roseville in 1997. It currently has 400 employees, and of that 120 provide in-home care. In-home care providers receive extensive and on-going training. Parents and other caregivers also receive training to help keep kids at home. PHS mainly serves Minnesota residents and focuses on pediatric care, but as patients age, they continue to provide coverage.

PHS appreciates the easily accessible location that Roseville provides. They are adding on to their current leased space, building for growth.

For the past seven years PHS has been named a Star Tribune Top Workplace. The company credits its employee-based culture, with great benefits and flexible work schedules. The company hosts summer picnics, food trucks, and other events to become a top workplace.

Pediatric Home Services Considers Its Future and Invests in Roseville

Pediatric Home Services has deep roots in Roseville, going back two decades. Not long ago it realized it needed more space. It considered building somewhere new. But when it came right down to it, according to president Mark Hamman, it just couldn’t leave Roseville. “I wanted to stay here. We love the location. It’s great for our customers. It’s centralized in the metro area. There is easy access to freeway 35W, highway 36, highway 694. And Roseville’s a beautiful place.” And Hamman knows that the location was appealing to a lot of the pediatricians it works with in the area. “We work with a lot of clinicians from children’s hospitals in the Twin Cities and easy access to our facility is a big plus for them,” he said. An independent children’s home health care agency, Pediatric Home Services provides comprehensive pediatric home care services to help kids with medical complexities live as fully as possible.
