Setzer Pharmacy and Gift Center

For Setzer Pharmacy, customer service is the key to its success. Setzer Pharmacy and Gift Center was founded in 1956 by Bob and George Setzer. In 1992, Gary Raines bought the store and ran it until 2017, when it was purchased Jim Stage. Stage continues the legacy of an independent, family-run business where “service-first values and state-of-the-art business practices provide customers with the best possible retail experience.”

Setzer Pharmacy currently has 40 employees, including five who work for NorthSpirit Medical, which is housed at the Setzer location. NorthSpirit Medical sells Durable Medical Equipment and Supplies. They offer quality products ranging from lift chairs and wheelchairs, to incontinence, bathroom safety, and nutrition and wound care supplies, for anyone with a disability, ongoing health concerns or recovering from a hospital stay or other medical procedures.

Setzer Pharmacy and NorthSpirit staff work closely with customers to help meet all of their medical needs while maintaining their independence. They provide home delivery for those who need it and repair equipment that they sell.

By working together and understanding your concerns, we can use our experience and knowledge to help you select the best products to fit your individual needs.

Business has been going well for both companies. Stage credits the mix of long-term pharmacists and new pharmacists who blend tradition with new ideas to welcome a new generation of customers.

The companies have been looking for innovative ways to expand services to meet customers’ changing needs. Some of the services include home delivery, text-messaging services, unit dosing that provides medications in a safe, yet easily accessible way for patients, medication therapy management and other services, soon to include CPAP supplies. They’ve also expanded the retail area, offering unique gifts for all ages.
