Custom Design Engineer

Required Job Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, or another related field.
* Strong project management skills.
* CAD proficiency - PTC Creo, Solidworks, etc
* Knowledge and grasp of rapid prototyping techniques and manufacturing methods
* Strong mechanical aptitude (including geometric dimensioning, tolerance analysis, material selection, etc.)
* Demonstrated history of design innovation.
* Energetic and enthusiastic approach toward the definition of new products, complimented by an educated and realistic business outlook.
* Strong verbal and written communications skills required; must be able to communicate effectively will internal departments, vendors and customers.
* 5+ years' experience in design of mass-produced products such as automotive, appliances, toys, etc
* Mastery in the design and development of plastic components. (not listed)
* Knowledge in design and development of electro-mechanical products

Preferred Job Qualifications:
* Advanced technical degree
* Expert level understanding of Finite Element Analysis and/or Computational Fluid Dynamic
* Mastery of injection molded component design
* Demonstrated history of working directly with customers to translate their needs into innovative new products.
* Familiarity with ISO13485.
