Increase Productivity and Improve Processes
After navigating the challenges of the last three years, most leaders are eagerly looking forward to proactively managing, improving, and growing their organizations again. And while continuous improvement has always been important, given the challenges we continue to face (such as staffing shortages, supply chain and budgetary constraints), the importance of improving processes, efficiency, and productivity has only increased.
The St. Paul Area Chamber- in partnership with the Performance Excellence Network and the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence — is pleased to host an online discussion on Thursday, February 9: “Improving Processes, Increasing Productivity.”
The discussion will kick off with Gary Floss, a retired senior leader with decades of experience leading improvement efforts at businesses such as Marvin Windows & Doors, Medtronic, and Control Data. Gary will provide an overview of different continuous improvement frameworks, methods, and tools currently being used by all sectors and industries. He will explore three categories of improvement tools: quality control, quality/continuous improvement, planning/innovation – a “menu” of process improvement tools in contemporary use today.
We will then hear a “case study” from Olmsted County, which is using a combination of tools for their continuous improvement approach.
After the two opening speakers, we will explore different improvement/productivity tools used by several types of organizations:
- Eli Maloley, Vivacity Tech (St. Paul)
- Laura Case, Monument Health (Rapid City)
- Olmsted County (Rochester)
The panel will share their insights on how to get started, what lessons they learned, and any tips or suggestions for improving processes, productivity and efficiency.
The first 40 Roseville business professionals will receive a $20 discount.
