Topic: Changing Priorities at the Federal Reserve
Speaker: Alene Tchourumoff
Alene Tchourumoff is the senior vice president of Community Development and Engagement at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. In this role, she leads the Bank’s strategies for engaging communities throughout the Ninth District, with an emphasis on low- and moderate-income populations and Indian Country development. Prior to joining the Fed, she served as chair of the Metropolitan Council. She was also appointed by Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton as Minnesota’s first state rail director, and, from 2013 to 2016, she led the Planning Department for Hennepin County Public Works. Tchourumoff holds a B.A. in business administration from George Washington University and a master’s in public policy from Harvard University.
