Comcast Investing in Roseville
Monday, October 02, 2017
Comcast is upgrading its network in the Twin Cities, and they are starting in Roseville. Roseville is slated to be the first city in Minnesota to receive Comcast’s network enhancements, which will make the network faster and more reliable, and ultimately improve the customer experience.
These latest network improvements will mean faster internet speeds, a smarter network, and innovations and service enhancements for businesses and individuals.
The upgrades will reduce disruptions and maintenance requirements and increase capacity, providing vital quality services for the business community.
Over the past several years, Comcast has invested nearly $2 billion in technology and infrastructure in the Twin Cities. The company has doubled its network capacity every 18 months and continually increases speeds for subscribers. In fact, they have increased internet speeds 17 times in the last 16 years.
Comcast has fiber at the core of its network, and for the past decade has been extending its fiber optics deeper into communities and closer to homes. This enhancement is part of Comcast’s efforts to create a network to meet growing demands but flexible enough to anticipate new trends.
